Spurious drugs seized at Bhilwara, Rajasthan
BHILWARA :- Spurious drugs of leading Pharmaceutical companies viz. Aventis, Cadila Healthcare and Cipla were seized at Bhilwara, Rajasthan recently by Sh. Mahendra Singh Shekhawat, Drugs Control Officer, Bhilwara with assistance of police.
Sh. Shekhawat was getting information that a person residing at Bapu Nagar, Bhilwara is supplying Combiflam Tabs, Oxalgin DP Tabs , Norflox-400 tabs to dealers at 5-15% lower than the prevailing market price. He got the drugs examined and found them to be spurious. Then he raided the residence of Sh. Sanjay Pareek S/o Sh. Ratan Lal Pareek, H-105, New Bapu Nagar and its Godown at Punjabi Gali, Bhadada Bagh, Gopal Ganj with police assistance and two independent witnesses & recovered huge quantities of these drugs.
Sh. Shekhawat told to drugscontrol.org that he seized 1200 Tab of Combiflam, Bearing Batch No.313053, 1800 Tablets of Norflox-400 Tabs bearing Batch No.G25031 and 16000 Tablets Oxalgin DP Tabs Bearing Batch No. MB 3594 worth Rs. 17000/-. He also told that these drugs were sold by the culprit without licence & at lower rates than the authorised stockists.
Sh. Shekhawat has also drawn samples of these drugs under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act & has sent the samples for test/ Analysis to State Drugs testing Laboratory.
He also lodged FIR against the culprit. Because the culprit failed to produce authentic proof of purchase and has said to have purchased the drugs from Deep Medicos, Basement, Shop No. G-5, Doctor House, Sewa Sadan Road, Bhilwara.
Deep Medicos was also raided by Sh. Shekhawat, But all in vain. Earlier a Sample of Dicrysticin-S (Vet), Batch No. VIG 2554 of Ambalal Sarabhai, drawn from Deep Medicos was found to be spurious. Unofficial sources reveal that after upcoming of this firm, it is spreading spurious drugs in the region.
